Cooperation

For the well-being of our patients we work very closely with different partners – building people-to-people ties.
All departments dealing with tumor surgery, tumor diagnostic facilities and the University Clinic of Radiology cooperate very closely within the University Hospital of Graz. Furthermore, it goes without saying that GPs, medical specialists, psychotherapists, home care aide organizations, the Austrian Cancer League in Styria, welfare organizations and hospice organizations join their forces for the well-being of patients.
There is also a very close cooperation between our department and the University Clinic of Medical Psychology and Psychotherapy, headed by Uni.-Prof. Dr. W. Pieringer.
Apart from that the Department of Oncology as a top-quality institution provides oncology patients with complex disease patterns with top-quality medicine not only in Styria but also in the neighboring provinces of Carinthia and Burgenland.
A very special model of cooperation exists with the Departments of Surgery of the following hospitals:
